As the image says it has 20.1 Megapixel of resolution. But its not the reason you should be happy. Amount of Megapixel cannot define the quality of the picture. It just makes sure you can zoom your pictures to highest level. 1/2.3 type(7.76 mm) Super HAD CCD Sensor is good enough if you shoot in day light in bright sunny day but not that good if your camera is under exposed. 6X optical zoom is good but 48X digital zoom does reduce the quality of your image. FOCAL LENGTH(F=) 35MM FORMAT EQUIVALENT is okay if you clicking pictures and preserving your memories but not good if you planning to shoot video or short film. Shutter speed and ISO control does help you click a nice photo but inbuilt video stabilisation has a low limits. It also shows lens distortion during videography. Low dynamic range, and I feel my phone camera is better. If you talk about battery life then it will give you nice performance in the beginning but after a year or two you might need to carry charger everywhere. Over all its an average camera for its price. And these days one might find better camera with more features within the same range.
