We all know that Cherrapunjee is the wettest place in the earth.It takes 2 hours more to reach Cherrapunji from shilong. WE hired a car from Guwahati and it took us Shillong at first and then Cherrapunji. It is the best place I have ever traveled. Elephant falls is a very nice attraction there.
One more spot is in Cherrapunji where I saw the cloud very closely and even sometimes we were inside cloud. We had a better luck that rain didn't ruin our plan. You can see boarder of Bangladesh from there. There is a cave where we walked and inside the cave it is dark and water is dropping from roof, kind a thrilling. At the top of Cherrapunji there is a Ramakrishna Mission which is a place of peace.
People there r very hard working and poor. If u get a chance then help them buying handcraft things from them.
