I am writting this to inform all those people who are planning to purchase modular kitchen from sleek asian paints.
I paid as an advance booking amount for a modular kitchen through dealer in my region jammu and kashmir.
The visitation and design charges are paid seperately via UPI (₹1000) .
At the time of booking, I was not informed about any non-refundable policy. The only details shared with me were the design plan and the total estimated cost. Based on that, I was asked to pay ₹50, 000 to proceed with the booking. I made this payment via UPI payment directly to the company.
They have handed me a bill afterwards where the terms and conditions are stated (not shown prior).
However, within just two days of making the payment, I informed the dealer that my family had a change of mind and we no longer wish to proceed with the plan. To my surprise, the dealer refused to process a refund, claiming that the amount had already gone to the company and cannot be retrieved. When I asked why this non-refundable policy wasn’t disclosed earlier, they had no clear explanation. They asked us to take another benefit from sleek, but the amount cannot be refunded.
Furthermore, the only document provided to me was a bill/invoice with the designer’s signature and the dealer’s stamp and signature. My own signature is NOT PRESENT, and I was never asked to sign or acknowledge any agreement that included a no-refund clause. This clearly shows that there was no mutual consent on any such terms.
After filling complaint onto their enquiry department. I received a call from their operational manager. He was using his sarcastic tone just to tell me that its my fault that i booked for modular kitchen. He said your money cant be refunded in any synerio. It would be better to opt for any other option from sleek for that amount. He also said do whatever you wanna do. Go where ever you want to go any court. His tone was very sarcastic and i felt like i been cheated by the whole company and their executives itself. They are not for customers. They are for themselves.
I asked him i didnt avail any service from you company and what i want back is my own money my own hard earned money ₹50000. He said " It was you who stepped down from this deal not us . We are still available." I said " i dont want any service i just need my money
