I joined Subhashish sir's classes quite late, sometime before 12th grade. Despite that, the effect SKM Classes has had on my life has been profound. Let us look at why.
In Bangalore, you can find a thousand tutors charging exorbitant prices and promising you(or your ward) a great chance of cracking top entrance exams if you enroll in his/her classes, but Subhashish Sir is the only one who promises to teach you how to absorb and manage your knowledge in a simple way. For Subhashish sir, his students(myself included) crack top tier college entrances as a byproduct of efficient knowledge management, and not just because they prepared for that specific test.
His expertise knows no bounds, as this professor makes it a point to learn new topics if he ever runs into a speedbump. He teaches you how to look at a problem and come to a solution in the quickest way possible, as his openness and interest to collaborate allows him to get inputs from multiple sources on the best way to solve a problem. In fact, upon receiving an input from me on a certain topic in chemistry, sir made ME teach a batch of juniors that trick I found. I enjoyed studying with sir, as it wasn't just rote learning, but an amazing combination of learning, sharing, teaching, re-learning, and re-tracing.
Studying with sir has taught me HOW to study efficiently and HOW to manage my knowledge, and this has helped me during my engineering studies as well. As a student of another prominent IITJEE(the IIT test during my day) coaching center(not mentioning names) in the 11th grade, I can safely say no coaching center can match the wholistic education given by Subhashish Sir.
The only potential downside is the cost is a little high for a personal tutor. But then again, instead of throwing away your money in Coaching Centers and then throwing it away again for a college donation seat, you can give less than 10% of that for SKM Classes and earn your own seat at a prestigious institute.
