My wife is very much fond of a Sewing Machine. Initially she wanted to buy a local one or a branded but a simple one. Since she used to operate a simple one, I just wanted to gift her with an advanced one. After seeing Singer Machine demo at ''Trade Fair'', I opted for one. There stared all our troubles. The seller who promised discount has not given any. He has not given any receipt for the amount (luckily I have given cheque payments). Few days after the company people sent a notice of non-payment. I have shown them my bank transactions which made them silent. As regards the performance of the machine, it is a very sad state of affairs. It never works. The bobbin has some manufacturing defect. The plastic parts used are simply useless. Almost all the parts of the Sewing machine has short life and needs regular replacement. I strongly recommend to those who want to buy a sewing machine for NOT to go for SINGER brand at all. Instead go for any other brand or a local one too does perform well compared to the SINGER. I wonder why a brand like SINGER INDIA LTD. exists in this country. Please do send feedback. I shall be obliged for that.
