I was looking for a course in Data Science and Big data. So I landed on Simplilearn. The sales executive sold gave some offer on all in one course which costed me around Rs. 26000/- in lumpsum. He said if I do not like the course, within 7 days money will be refunded. On starting the course I found the speed of speech of the recorded voice in self paced course to be fast. I emailed the gentleman, but didn't get any response. Then again I emailed for transcripts if possible, again no response. Then before 7th day, I raised request for cancellation of the course. The request was rejected because I have watched their so called self paced videos more than 50%. Now here lies the catch.


First, I did 54% of just one of the course out of several 20+ courses. So in any case it is not 50% of whole course.


Second, they didn't respond to my earlier emails regarding my problem and videos are so fast that you will not be able to cope up with the speed if you are a beginner. You will run through the percentage of course very easily


Third, I raised request after so many attempts to cope up with the course. I tried my best to give chance to the video and my request was not impulsive.


I even requested them to deduct money for the course which I have touched and refund rest of the money. But they rejected that too. I am feeling cheated by the working of their terms and conditions just like other credit card and insurance agencies do.


Good faith is what we expect, but such companies hide facts over phone and just go after a prospective customer for payment and pressurize by saying discount offer will be withdrawn within minutes, we common people become fool. and when it comes to actual refund policies, they show you their website for terms and conditions.


With these pathetic attitude and  unethical practices, these companies will vanish very soon.
