This is a great company with a clearly articulated message - get the masses fly. Everything is perfect as it gets - the planes are good (not those cracking alliance air ones), well maintained, excellent pricing, excellent coverage across cities (and continuously growing).
The only problem is departure timings. I hv travelled by deccan many-a-times. The only problem with these guys is predictability. If u r a business traveller with strict schedules, u should avoid deccan. If u are flexible on timings with even upto a day's delay won't kill you, this is a flight for you.
If you are the one with long legs as I am and are travelling by those ATR flights, RUSH - the emergency exits are right near the nose of the plane...Grab a seat quickly...Its free seating so u can't request for one unlike other airlines. The downside to sitting here is you are very close to the rotor blades...the noise is awful but won't kill you in a short haul.
