I have purchased a few books through rediff online shopping portal. It's been more than 15 days and I am still waiting for my stuff to be delivered. The payment option available is through credit card or netbanking. Once you select your desired product, you can just check out after paying through your convenient mode.
And that's precisely I did and got a prompt confirmation from my bankers that the amount is been debited for this purchase. On the rediff shopping site it was showing that the product is being dispatched through TNT courier. It continued showing the same status for 10 days after my purchase. To my amazement, the status changed to "Cancel" one day without any clue! I've been sending messages to their customer care to know what happened to my purchases but I get only a auto response which is totally irrelevant.
I tried searching a conatct number where I can talk to a real person from rediff, but could not find it any where. This was my first experience of online shopping through any Indian site. I'm not sure if it works like this for everyone else too.

After a number of mails exchanged with them, I got a response that the items I bought are out of stock! Their customer service rep assured me over the mail message that the amount will be refunded back in 48 hours.
Imagine if I would have not done any follow-up with them. Easy money, man!
