Elderly members of my family were admitted in Santevita for 14 days and the following points which are common to any hospital have been reviewed along with my personal experience.
ADMISSION PROCESS - easy and smooth, will ask for some amount to be deposited.
INFRASTRUCTURE - decent, rooms are neat and clean. They charge you 25-30k per day inclusive of all treatment for Covid.
NURSING - Understaffed due to staff being infected with covid. The nursing staff are inattentive, do not listen to you even for requests to call the on-duty doctor. The hospital does not share the daily status of the patient, irrespective of so many tests done on daily basis. The patient's family should be informed everyday of the patient's health status. Difficult to approach the attending doctors on phone.
DOCTORS - Most of the doctors are polite and professional while handling patients. However, if your patient is overlooked by Dr. Nishant Kumar, kindly know he is extremely loud, rude, unethical and unapologetically unprofessional while handling patients.
MANAGEMENT - They did understand and help me on certain issues that I'm thankful for. However, they still treat this purely as a business.
RECEPTION STAFF- You will receive a call everyday for the outstanding bills, but as mentioned earlier no calls for the status of the patient.
DISCHARGE PROCESS - No protocol to discharge covid recovered patients is followed (whether patient has been stable without oxygen & fever for 2 days or so, they only have to be negative). Nishant Kumar will "examine" and discharge patients as per his wish. The process will take 4-5 hours after you reach the hospital to take your family members back home and it will not be as smooth as you expect it to be.
