Been waiting for months to get my hand on(In my opinion!) one of the smallest Samsung Slider phones.

Read the rave reviews.Loved the looks, found the sliding mechanism and the Keypad worked pretty well.

Overall, Disappointed!

The first thing which ticked me off about this phone, is the fact that for a phone elegantly shrouded in black, they had to put a Yucky Blue ''OK'' button, instead of leaving it in Black. I mean, why? Isn't it obvious what the middle button on a five directional key is supposed to do.It spoiled the whole show for me :(

Then I saw the screen... small, not enough to justify a 252K colour screen. I had seen the screen on the Sharp GX25, and this screen, was not even half as sharp (pun intended!).

The UI, is just not made for the D500. I mean, on a freaking 'High Resolution' screen which is anyway small, why would the fonts on the UI be so terribly HUGE!

Video (Oh Brother!)

I watched a music video on this phone, and the music was AWESOME! But the video itself was too small for viewing comfort. Imagine a screen the length of a normal matchbox, and now cut 0.8 cms from each end. What do you get? Nothing! There is no fullscreen option, forget even thinking about landscape mode !

Overall, great if your looking for a minature music system, not so great if your looking for a mobile phone.
