I think j series is one of the successful series by samsung with mid range price. There are mainly 4 modles in descending order is j7, j5, j2 and j1.
All are perfect according to their price. Speciaaly j2 which I used for last 2 weeks. I can now say that this phone is just a slap on the chick of those people who say that samsung devices hangs a lot. As you know that samsung is a world class brand. It will never gives you a lot of function in low end price phones as china company does.
It always gives you the best quality hardware and well optimized software which your device can easily handle only with 1 gb of ram and dont show any lag. I am using j2 and it is well optimised device having 1 gb ram and only 2000 mah battery but it will give u a lot.
