Saholic.com site review:
Frankly, I was nervous after placing my first order on Saholic.com as I wasn't sure how trustworthy they were. Would they deliver on time? Would the phone be in working condition or broken to pieces during transit? Would they send the right model/color/accessories?
I placed my order ~9pm on Mon night, and was rather pleasantly surprised when the new mobile was delivered around noon on Wed to my apartment in a Bangalore suburb.
Pros:
Rapid delivery (less than 48 hours)
Tamper-proof packaging - bubble wrapped+sealed box inside a sealed plastic-lined envelope
Printed invoice with product details and date stamp
As promised, the phone came with the black default cover (backplate) + a turquoise cover
The phone battery was precharged to ~35% so I could test everything right out of the box.
Cons:
On Wed noon the Saholic.com site indicated that my phone had already been delivered (!) though I hadn't received it yet -- so I had to make two separate phone calls to track it down - first to Saholic customer service in Gurgaon (not very useful), and next to Blue Dart in Bangalore. Turns out the courier guy (Blue Dart) had handed it over to a security guard at my complex instead of coming up to my apt - they could have atleast called as my telephone no was clearly printed on the package
A delivery status alert via sms/email would have been helpful - Flipkart does this extremely well.
Sony doesn't include a full-scale manual with the phone, which is a bit of a bummer.
