I have been watching Sachin for a long time. He seems to be a good guy with lot of talent. But he is also shrewd. Why? He is the richest sports guy in India. Kapil/Gavaskar are a better players than Sachin but they didn't get this kind
of money. That shows his off-field shrewdness.
On-field he has always worked towards breaking records. I observed sachin going in defensive once he reaches 85. This is nothing but opportunistic behavior which I did not observe any other batsmen from other countries. Gavaskar might have nurtured this habit in sachin to go after records to cement his place in the Indian squad.
Sachin is a very aggressive fielder. As a bowler he concedes lots of runs but he delivers 6 different balls in a over which confuses batsmen. In tense situations he has proved most of the times useful. He is very good contributor to the team but not a consistent match winner. He seldom finished his innings to win a match.
Overall he is still contributing but he should not be made captain of the Indian Squad.
