You got to use it to believe it .. Review on Reliance Netconnect

I bought reliance net connect after reading reviews of many from mouth shut. Intially I was planning to go for Photon + as I was very impressed with there demo , but the reviews about there post sales service made me switch. Anyway .. I am very impressed and happy with my decision. Below are some good points.

1. First of all , didnt apply it online . I just went to a rcom office and paid for it and got the device. he promised me 24 -48 hours for activation. It took exactly 24 hours for the device to start working. Thats good !!

2. Now the most important part which every one wants is speed. I feel getting 1.6 Mbps to 2.0 MBPS is good enough for a data card. I really found it strange that people are irritated that they are not getting 3.1 mbps speed when they are already satisfied with there 512 or 1 mbps speed at home. Well I dont think any company can give the speed they claim as it is the power of modem and not the speed. I have seen people satisfied with those slow and dead data cards. Why not with 1.5 Mbps. Even the connection reliability is pretty good. I have not faced any issues with connection lost as such. Anywhere I go I get good and consistent speed. Some times even 2.2 mbps.

3. Speed while roamin : Now I am in delhi and I am writing this review from there and still I am getting speed of 1.5 mbps which is good for my work. My airtel at home even doesnt give this much some time. I was not expecting it to work so great in out of Home town. I went to my a small village in Haryana and I was surprised to see it give much better speed than those dead data cards of the past.

4. I have got my first bill and its the same as expected. I took the 5 Gb plan and I got the bill of the my rent + taxes. No other charges and no exaggeration of usage.

BAD POINTS:

I am still not able to register online to check my usage. Even compaints have not helped till now. Calling the customer service is a big pain. You got wait a lot for the CSR to come online.

So all and all I am very happy. It really helps my cause when I am travelling.
