I was interested in buying a Reliance data card and registered my mobile number in their website. It was during the month of February 2012. I got a call from a person by name Rahul Kumar who claimed that he is calling from Reliance communications. He said that he will be sending the Reliance representatives to my home with the data card and I have to pay Rs. 2500. As said, two persons visited me and I paid Rs.2500 and asked for the bill. I was told that it will be sent from their central office within a week along with the invoice. I immediately called up this Rahul guy(mobile 7827151278) and he promised a bill within a week. I agree since he was talking very professionally.
Later, I didn't receive any bill for the next two to three weeks. I called up this guy but he use to switch off his mobile. I called up the reliance customer care but they were beating around the bush without answering properly. They told me that I should have taken the bill from the person who delivered the datacard. I later realized that Reliance communication is acting through one organization called Vriti Interactive who are delivering the data cards without issuing bills. Reliance is cheating a huge amount which it should pay to govt. as tax resulting from sale of data cards.
Also the service is very pathetic. In spite of calling and writing to the Reliance Appellate authority they are refusing to respond properly. I wrote several emails to one Mr.Bobban Mathew heading Chennai region but no proper response. I decided to stop using Reliance service and I am not using it since June 2012. Now they are repeatedly calling me and demanding money where there is no due. They have not provided any bill for the amount that they have taken during the delivery of data card but they demand a ransom by sending SMS and calling.
Fed up with Reliance communications. Never buy a reliance data card. Be careful when you buy and ask for proper bills.
