I booked a ticket for my son through Red Bus on Feb'18th 2017, Ticket number TK3M67529383 From: PatialaTo: Delhi Date of journey: Thursday, February 23, 2017.Boarding time: 04:00 PM.However while my son reached there, he came to know that the bus operator was on strike.However, there was not a single intimation through any means of communication, neither through Bus operator nor through Red Bus. The First thing my son did was to contact the customer-care no. mentioned on the Ticket i.e. 1800-419-4287. My son was amazed to hear from the person picking up the phone that it was not the red bus no. rather it was the no. of some " Bus India". Upon telling them the reality they revealed that they work on behalf of Red Bus and they were aware that the bus was not plying and refunded the amount to Red Bus a day earlier i.e. on 22-Feb-17 at 17:19 HOURS. Upon no intimation from any one and with no money in hand, he had to wait for hours together to make some other arrangements to commute.
Exactly 24 hours later when I enquired to understand the status from Red Bus as why the cutomercare was not their on the ticket and why they didn't bother to intimate me in advance, they kept narrating their regular stories and at the same time apologising for the inconvenience. Upot getting no answer I got annoyed and started shouting at them, they started passing on the call to their so called seniors putting the call on holed for several minutes each time. One of their seniors told they are very sorry about it but it is not their procedure to inform the customer so no point taking any feedback from me, however they will try to initiate refund my amount within 48 hours. By this time my anger had reached upon my nerves, I shouted and shouted to my full throat. And you wont believe waht Red Bus did next.
They immediately shooted a mail showing cancellation of the same Ticket stating that it is cancelled upon my request. Where as I never made any request for cancellation, I just inquired why the non plying of the bus was not intimated to me.( Imagine Red Bus cancels a Ticket a day after the scheduled date of Journey). Since I was continuously shouting at them, they were so frightened that immediately refunded the amount to me while I was on call itself. I enquired whether the Bus vide return ticket(redBus Ticket no: TK3M75837526) scheduled 48 hours from now dated 26-Feb-17) will ply or not. To my amazement, the customercare executive named Dheeraj said " We cant say anything about it, either you contact bus operator or reach bus stand at the scheduled time to know about the exact status.
Now my question to Red Bus " Why should a customer pay through you if you are not discharging the intended services and earning the profit. Why should one not pay the Bus Operator PEPSU directly while he will be meted such harrasment from you. In short you are the highest level of Fraud company who has no credibility. I am forwarding to Pepsuonline the Ticket and cancellation email for their information and necessary action at their end.
