Well, this film is not based on the real life Raman(the pshyo killer active during 60's) . The film is not about him. Instead, this picture focuses on a copycat killer who takes raman as his inspiration and is driven by the connection he feels to police chief Raghavan(Vicky kaushal).
After the sprawling epic'Gangs of wasseypur' Anurag Kashyap again proved his versatility in his genre. It's not easy to make a movie about a serial killer. Yet kashyap succeeds to a large extent. You will be surpised by the gruesome detail and shocking twists in the narrative.
Nawazuddin Siddique is a very talented actor and he shine as a star in some scenes like the one in which he's having conversation with a cat.The music of the movie was poor and some violence scenes will not be justifying. But actors uncontrolled violence will make it spine-chilling.
