A smart salesman came and introduced "Pure it", a water purifier from Hindustan Lever. The product looked great and the cost was not very high. They guaranteed 100% pure drinking water. I am a pharmacist by profession, and thought of'more pure' water to my customers and replaced my regular water filter. So far so good. I paid their bill.
After a few days, The lever of the tap broke off. On examination, I found the lever with a very thin rod, made purposely to break, which worked as a fulcrum. I contacted the distributor. A person from the distributor came and replaced the tap, agreeing this is not an isolated case and produced a bill for the replaced tap which was hardly 3 months by that time. I refused to pay; and the man went back grumbling. After a few days, the cover of the "Battery" fell down automatically. I reported it to the distributor who sent the service boy who fixed it with insulation tape!.
Again after a few days, The battery got exhausted. After reporting, some body came and replaced it and the purifier was filled with water. As the water reached the battery after the initial steps of filtration, it started leaking. They asked me to press it hard and luckily the leak was stopped.
Recently, The battery was showing indication for replacement, and water started dripping out. I contacted them and a boy came and informed'if the battery reaches the end of its life, it starts leaking'. So I asked him to replace it. He said he shall come tomorrow with a new battery, but never returned. After some two weeks, I my self had to go in search of the battery and bought it and replaced it by myself. Cheap materials and hopeless service.
