Help & Support:

It was diwali time, and it was raining sales everywhere. We had to get rid of my old mixer grinder (bajaj) which was apparantly dissembled by my adventurous maid!

After staying in coimbatore for a while, I slowly realised that companies like preethi, ultra etc are dominant here. I had never used preethi before, living in mumbai all my life, until we shifted here some 9 months back.

We bought 2 mixer grinders, one for self and one for my mom in law...Ours is morphy richards icon(can only review it once I use it)

We got my mom in law Preethi eco plus. Its quite an economic mixie I must say. Here's what I could jot down, about the mixie so far, after a months use

*PROS

** very economic, on sale with exchange offer we got it forĀ  Rs.2000. I think MRP is 2500 .

Simple elegant design. Although not very futuristic, but good for the money

3 sturdy jars. stainless steel and polished.

easy to clean.

Excellent for wet grinding and blending.

Dry grinding is not bad at all... Although have to give it a minute more of a spin for very fine grinding

Moderately compact and not very space occupying. like some others

550 watts motor

good polycarbonate domes.

Now the **CONS:

**Quite noisy. But I have used bajaj before and it was also equally noisy

The jars dont have clip ons. So one has to be sure to gently press the lid while grinding, You cant just let the mixie alone while its doing the job.

Instruction manual is very tiny. And no recipe book, like the ones sumeet and kanchan used to give. I wonder if they still give.

*Things that I am yet to find out:*

After sales service, no servicing needed so far and its too early for one I guess.

Not sure how durable it is going to be. Till date, its working perfectly fine.

*Verdict:** You essentially get what you pay for. Its after all a value for money mixie.Much better than the ones Jaipan and bajaj and other companies offer at this price. If around 2k is your budget, then go for it!
