We all know how big the smartphone market is these days. We see a lot of new companies trying to enter indian smartphone market, specially the budget segment. Phicomm Energy 653 is Phicomm's attempt to hit the indian consumers. So, Is phicomm has checked all the right boxes. Let us find out.
First lets talk about the build qaulity. The phone is well build and made out great qaulity plastic. Home button and volume rocker keys are quite sterdy as well. Although it resembles Lenovo A6000 but it feels great in hand and nothing like a cheap phone.
Now lets talk about Display. It has 5 inch IPS LCD display which uses a 720p panel. Color reproduction and viewing angles are great but the overall touch responsiveness could be a little better. It does not mean that its a bad display. It performs great when it comes enjoying media on your phone.
Finally lets talk about performance. To start with, It runs Asphalt 8: Airborn smoothly on medium graphic settings. The reason that I mentioned that in the begining is because most of you would have asked it anyways. So for the spec sheet. Its houses Qaulcomm SnapDragon 210 quad core chipset which is clocked at 1.1 Ghz, coupled witch 1 gig of RAM and 8 GB ROM. Now its nothing to write home about but it gets the job done and it does it in style. It Runs on Android 5.1 Lolipop out of the Box and phicomm has provided couple of updates already to the device to fix some bugs.
In general day to day use you will find the device performing quite decent, specially if you concider its price tag of?4999 on amazon india. I strongly recommend the device if you are on a tight budget and cannot spend more than 5k. Also this device would be great for your not so tech savy parents. I myself gave it to my dad after the review.
