Now a day diesel car are more suitable for Indian market than petrol cars, with high efficiency(high torque, high power & better mileage). with up coming of new technology like CRDi, Unit injector(Pumpe duese) in diesel cars maintainability cost is more or less equal with petrol cars. Now a day you will find more silent cars coming to market in diesel version, thanks to multi injection in CRDI technology. Moreover new research is also more in case of diesel than petrol.
If you are daily user of car ( atleast you should use to travel 40 to 50 Km per day) than diesel car is more suitable for you compare to petrol car. Only disadvantage of diesel car is high cost as compare to petrol cars. but this cost is recover with in the time frame of two to three year according to your usage, as diesel car has low running cost compare to petrol cars, from one third to half of petrol
