Pepperfry - NOT TRUSTABLE. Review on Pepperfry

Just want to write my view on Pepperfry since I had a bad experience with them; note that this is my first review on mouthshut.

I had ordered a furniture in Pepperfry on 22nd October and made the payment via Netbanking. They had promised to deliver the product in 23 business days which is 29th November.

I had asked them multiple times on when will they ship the product and the customer care guys always report to me that 23rd business day is 29th November and the item will get shipped on or before that which never happened.

And from 29th Nov, I have been chasing these guys on when will my item will get shipped since there was absolutely no communication from them.

Also, note that I had started receiving different kind of status whenever I call their customer care.

For example, on 29th Nov morning, one of the lady from customer care reported to me that the item has been shipped and in bangalore at present and I would be getting it in 4-5 days. On the same day evening, another guy picked up and told me that the item is not shipped yet and it may take another 48 hours just to get an update on where we are with the shipment/stats!

So, it looks like it is not going to ship anytime soon; I had decided to cancel the order and told them to do it yesterday. And one guy had taken the request and told me that it has been cancelled and the money will get credited into my bank account within 48 hours.

Thought of checking with them on the cancellation request (since I had experienced that the customer care guys always give different opinions/comments) and so called them few mins back. And they just reported to me that the order is not cancelled yet and they are waiting for my confirmation so that they can cancel it!

Finally, he reported to me that he had placed a cancellation request and I will be getting the money back only after 10 days! Funny thing again is that one of the guy in pepperfry chat room reported that they can't cancel the furniture order - at the same time when I was on the call with their customer care. Had asked him to setup a callback with his supervisor tomorrow to get more clarity on this.

But, to be honest, this site is not trust-able. It has been more than a month now, they aren't ready to deliver the product or return back the money.

Let's wait and see if someone from pepperfry are really going to call me on this. Will update with the details later tomorrow.
