The PayTM POS system would need the merchant to have the app installed on their phone and a working internet connection. The app will let the merchant accept payments via credit or debit cards. That way, you will not need to load money into your E-Wallets. Thus you will not be tied to your E-Wallets. Wherever PayTM is accepted, you can use your credit or debit card to make payment.
Here we go with the details on how it works -
The merchant is registered with PayTM as a seller and has the app installed on the smartphone.
As soon as you complete the purchase, the details are entered on the app, and a bill is generated.
The phone is handed over to you.
You now need to enter your card number, Expiry date and CVV number.
You will receive an OTP on your phone as you would normally do when you perform a PayTM transaction. You need to enter it on the seller's phone
The transaction gets completed and the amount is transferred to seller's PayTM account.
