Parched is the 2nd movie to be released in recent times that focuses on women’s issues. While Pink was more about Urban India, Parched directs its attention towards the struggles faced by the women of rural Rajasthan. It gives a good insight into the sexual repression that these women have to deal with. One truly feels for the protagonists in this movie, and that is as much a testament to the stellar acting by the leading ladies
