Hotel Paras is very reasonably price, and rooms are fair by western standards.
It was quickly clear to me that they are discriminatory towards Indians. If you are a NRI you are in luck. First locals cannot get reservations, there standard line is that they are full, unless you sound like an NRI. Second if you get lucky and get a reservation, then you get the worse rooms, like facing the main road, which you will find impossible to sleep.
If you are a NRI, they employees will hawk you like bees , they want that tip in $$.
The same is true on room service. Called 6 times to get Tea for a local , took one time and 15 minutes for NRI. If you dare complaint to the manager, they guy is on its way, or he went to the wrong room (6 times!). They just don’t care for the locals. If you happen to know someone in the call center in India, take him along so they think you are a NRI. Worse than the British!
