A cOOl phone !. Review on Panasonic A500

The Panasonic A500 !

I wanted a clam-shell (flap) phone in the mid-range with a good colour display & connectivity features etc.. and was on a hunt to find the most suitable phone.After visiting a few ''cell phone'' sites, I decided on this phone, the A500 !

Here's what I have to say about it:

-Firstly,it's got a 65K TFT lcd display (superior compared to nokia's 4k lcd)

-the clam-shell design is perfect with the extra metal lining + it's the first GSM clamshell phone with a auto-open mechanism,which is a great advantage

-Well it's media capability is also impressive.The my media folder can store upto 1.2mb (i.e pics,sounds etc..).Voice recording of upto 15 seconds is available.Now games ! Well there is one pre-installed game ''ninja action'' and enough space for more...

-New content ? for additional content like wallpapers,ringtones,games etc.. there are two options : [GPRS+WAP 2.0] [InfraRed] ...you also get content from the ''Panasonic Box'' which is aservice that offers games,tones & pics...i usually get pics & tones via IR.

-here are the memory details: [SMS-300 nos.] [MMS-700kb] [My Media-1.2mb] [Games-500kb] [Phonebook-300nos. + photocall]

-style? there are two models ,white & black.Both are customizable with its cool X-changeable covers.

-battery ! how could I forget that..the phone lasted for 3 days in standby mode,but if you're going to play games,sms a lot,make/receive calls the battery will last for about 24-30 hrs or even lesser ! But that won't be problem if you recharge it promptly ,everyday !

CooLest FeatureS:

The LED status display on the outside & ability to have ''VOICE(music n lyrics) TONES & POLY TONES OF (.mmf) format'' . It's actually a Yamaha format,coz dis phone has got a superior Yamaha MA-2 Audio processor.now with ''voice tones'',the a500 is the next best thing to mp3 phones..
