After long time protests, the movie got released. It can be watched. If it is to be watched as a movie only, then storyline, characters, direction and screenplay is fantastic. Bhansali did a great job showing historic culture and life. Khilji 's character played by Ranveer Singh is awesome. Can't imagine as of now that anybody else can do.justice with this role. Shahid did good acting as a Rajput. And deepika is also fantastic in her role. There are many instances and scenes which are brilliantly picturized, like ghumar song it is just awesome. Make up.artist for khilji is brilliant. The best scene of the movie is jauhar scene. It is very emotional, we can think what was happened that time when all females.enetered fire. Deepika did a great act in the scene. Bhansali did a great job. Now on the other side, if we think of the past which actually happened. Khilji character was over portrayed. The movie looks alike it's was a movie of Khilji not of Padmavat. Khilji is shown like villain cum hero. He was shown very strong character but shahid as weaker. Which should be other way round. But movie is good to watch and worthwhile.
