On 30/8/2016 I had travelled from Koramangala to the Airport in Ola cab.Before calling Ola I had booked Uber cab and price for my journey was shown as Rs 670/.Since the UBER cab took some time to come I cancelled it and booked Ola in their lowest Mini category.Since Ola has been heavily advertising cabs at Rs 6 per km I expected the charges to be close to Rs 670/.Imagine my shock when I was charged Rs 1042/ for my journey.
When I spoke to the cab driver he admitted that Ola charges are higher than UBER, but I did not expect it to be as high as 55%.The pricing for Ola is not transparent and there is no system for showing the expected price for the journey unlike what is shown in UBER APP.We are totally at the mercy of the cab operator as the price is known only after the journey is over.
Choose Ola only if other operators are not available especially if you are in B'lore and going or coming to the Airport.
