Overall Performance:

Great products often come in small packages. If you have used and struggled with an Microsoft Pocket PC based mobile phones or PDAs or the Microsoft Smartphones, O2 XDA II mini will be answer to all your troubles. A beautiful blackish grey phone which trully rocks. Powered by INTEL processor running at 416 Mhz this phone makes the applications running a scream. This is the first workable windows phone/PDA that I have used and is giving me tonnes of fun. The phone comes with the usual bundle of goodies, you get O2 plus, themes, Microsoft active sync, Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Powerpoint Viewer. Some great features: Install microsoft Voice command or Fonix Voice Dial to show off terrific voice recognitiion by this phone. For eg. Say ''Call Suresh Raman at home'' will dial out the concerned person after a verbal confirmation from you. Or try saying ''Play Aerosmith'' to have the Windows Media player 10 launching the Aerosmith tracks. Great contact lookup. The search capability of the contacts application is the best in business. Fantastic Bluetooth support. This actually works. You can Activesync on bluetooth too. Browse the web over your Bluetooth connection (using your PC/Laptop connected to broadband). Sheer convinience. Great games support. This processor rocks and you get to run some good games. I am addicted to Lemonade Inc. Support for SD cards. They are cheap and fast. Throw in a 1 GB SD and you will never look at your iPod shuffle again :-) Some hickups: Impossible to use with one hand. Doesnt do windows mobile 2005 as yet (wait for my review on O2 Atom which I will get my hands on later this month). Doesnt handle VCF format for business card tranfer (why not!!!!) Screen can get smudgy and needs to be cleaned often (though its reasonably scratch resistant). Price : Grey market about INR 22000/-
