NTPC the national thermal power plant , asias largest thermal power plant.my father is working here for 12yrs and still he is in the same company.
Company really very good taking care of there employees.
Employee benefits are great at NTPC.
Apart from at par Basic Salary + DA, you get 47% of the basic amount as perks, along with housing facility ( in township) with electricity ( concessional rate) and petrol allowance for personal vehicles. Medical facility is free to you and dependents, but it is usually of sub-par quality in townships, and doctors are not helpful & caring as well. The corporate office also decided to distribute some gifts to all employees on occasion of 40th anniversary of NTPC Ltd, and those are very generous.
Overall, the policies are very good, but implementation varies with different projects. For eg: study leave, training nominations, job transfers are non-transparent and depends on plant to plant & situation basis.
