The memory card reader is not working in my 4 months old N82. When contacted, the service centre says that there is a suspected liquid damage & rectification charges needs to be paid.


The pity is they want us to agree that "IN CASE IF THE PHONE GOES DEAD WHILE RECTIFICATION - THEY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACEMENT"


My question a) If the phone has become wet, why only Card reader gets damaged & why not the phone itself? b) If the instrument is so delicate, why is Nokia not educating the consumer while buying the product. c) Is it enough if they cover it in warranty? d) Is Nokia assuming that INdia is a desert with no rains?


Irresponsible answers if enquired on Nokia Customer (dont?) care. Disappointment to the core from a company which gives lip service. Fact is that It is not only the doctors who gain more business when it rains, Nokia also. I am surprised & amazed if the same reply will hold good world wide.
