I am having this problem with all nokia phones. They are usefriendly, and once you get used to the NOKIA userfriendliness, it is hard to switch to a different brand.
But their quality and after sales service is so POOR it makes me want to tear my hair out.
First of all, these phones are NOT cheap. They cost 7-8 k(or sometimes more). Thats quite a lot of money. Then their quality is PATHETIC. A Nokia phone starts developing problems all of a sudden, within a few months of use. My 6131 barely lasted for 4 months. And my brothers Nseries became an issue after 5 months.
Then when you try to get your phone REPAIRED, its a major hassle. Their service centers have SERIOUS attitude.
To fix my 6131(which was only a few months old and carefully used), the bill was Rs 1200. It took them 4 weeks to repair it and return. Within those 4 weeks, I somehow misplaced a copy of my jobsheet(some piece of very thin and cheap paper). So they refused to give my phone back to me, even though they acknowledged that they very well knew that it is my phone. Finally I had to go to a police station and lodge a complaint and only then did they agree to return the phone. Otherwise they were planning to just keep it to themselves! Isnt that shocking?
My brothers NSERIES cost a WHOPPING 4000 rs to fix, even though it was within warranty and even though it had been only a few months and the phone had just stopped working for no reason at all. Plus another 750 to "upgrade software" without which the phone would keep getting hung.
ISNT THAT SHOCKING?
ANY MORE BAD EXPERIENCE AND I AM DEFINITELY BLACKLISTING NOKIA AS A BRAND.
THEIR SERVICE CENTER NEAR MY HOUSE - THE ONE THAT TRIED TO STEAL MY PHONE AND I HAD TO GET POLICE TO INTERVENE - I HAVE ALREADY BLACKLISTED.
IS NOKIA LISTENING?
