It is a value for money destination if you have a small family & reside nearby. The transport to this place needs upgradation. we went there yesterday i.e. 21Apr 2011.left Vashi at 1000hrs we reached the park at 1200Hrs
To reach there we took a local train from Vashi to panvel station & the rickshaw from panvel station charged us 300 rupees till Nishiland which I found was expensive.
The rides were fun for my kids aged 8, 9 and 10. Safety measures taken by the staff/management are very good. The rain dance shower equipment is ugly looking but is very efficient. the music is also very nice. Getting in the park cost us i.e. 2 adults and 3 kids aged 8/9/10 a total of 1175/- i.e. 225 per child and 250 per adult which includes all rides except boating.
You have to pay separately for food. The food served here is average & is reasonably priced when compared to any restaurant of mumbai. You can get pav bhaji for 45 rupees & ice Gola for 10 rupees which in my opinion is kind of reasonable owing to the fact you dont have a choice once you are inside the park.
once you are done with all the rides & are about to clear up is the nasty part where in the gents section I saw no care has been taken what so ever to clean up the toilets, by 1700hrs the shower room is dark inside without lights; there is no place to hang your towels etc; its completely ignored. Only this part needs to be carefully monitored as the visitor leave with a bad taste.
While returning we took sharing rickshaw from Nishiland to "chowk fata" & another sharing rick ( these are the big noisy ones that seat 7-10 pax ) all the way to Panvel.
all in all it was a good value for money trip for us who reside in Vashi. hope you find this review helpful. Samir
