The Nikon D5300 is by far the best camera I have used till date. Its shape helps the camera fit easily in your hand and is not too heavy. One of the best things is that it comes with a 6inch display. The display can be rotated 360 degree. It also enables wifi and drive mode. What impressed me the most is the auto focus sensor. The built in wifi and GPS system acts as a bonus, a very rare feature. This helps in editing and transfering of photos. Also you can upload photos instantly. The drive mode button is at the top plate to the left side, just below the lens release button. This make it easier to reach but harder to find. In video there is nothing much new.
Overall I think it is a very good, efficient and economical camera to buy. Something worth spending your money on.
