I bought D5300 with 18-55 and 70-300 lenses.
Now after learning a bit about photography, I feel I should have bought canon EOS D700.
I liked wifi capability in D5300 but the Nikon android app is completely useless. There are a lot of issues. I am not sure when they are coming up with an update.
here are few points which I thought are very important when buying Dslr in this range.
Touch screen: EOS700 has touch screen. For a beginner it will be very useful to get used to camera settings. DSLR's are not meant to shoot in auto mode.
Camera Lenses: Canon lenses are cheaper compared to nikon. Canon customers are more in number so it is easy to find a used lens at a good
price.
- Image size : Canon image size is almost 40% less than that of Nikon's. It saves a lot of space especially when you are using 8gb card.
