I had been to Mysore Zoo just two days back. I had lot of expectation before going. but I didn't had even a good feel after visiting the Zoo, I will tell you why. First of all it was during weekend hence it was very rush, also they were not allowing to park the vehicle near by areas and send us to park some where far place. After parking the vehicle we came in auto rickshaw till the zoo.
Then after entering waited for the ticket in a long queue still that fine, but the price they were charging double of the normal days. Also, they dont allow any eatables to take inside, so we bought everything like snacks water bottle, ice creams from inside only. But the price they were charging was, double than the normal price in the shops outside of the zoo. If they dont allow any eatables from outside, they should make sure that they are charging the same price as outside, or not more.
Also many of the animals cage was completely empty and most of the animals were some where inside and could not see. Also because of rush and long queue missed out some place too.
In my opinion, since there are lot of visitors from outside, authorities could have taken care of Zoo much more better and by making sure that there are varieties of animals to see rather than leaving the cage empty.
