MUSTEK DVD V300 You might not expect a lot from this player but just you wait. DVD and MP3 are two of the most important things to have happened to video and audio. Owners of PCs may be able to use their systems to listen to or watch media in these new formats but confining your enjoyment of music and movies to your desktop is not always acceptable. The Mustek DVD V300 is a set-top DVD player with a couple of interesting features.

For starters, while you could currently pay up to £1,000 for a DVD player, this one sits firmly in the budget sector at only £175. Picture quality is excellent and the audio is clear. One big disadvantage is that it cannot read CD-RW discs. The V300 is aimed at users who want to make the leap to DVD but who don't want to spend vast amounts of money doing so. Sound quality is pretty good, although MP3 music doesn't offer quite the same sound quality as the original CD. Unfortunately, the player won't read CD-RW discs but it can play any video CDs you make. If you are considering purchasing a DVD player that offers more then go for a PlayStation 2. Prices will be falling in a few weeks so hang on. And in the near future you will be able to download music on to memory cards. Go on treat your self.
