The first time I heard about the post paid internet service of MTNL, I thought it would be damn slow. But the first time I tried it, I was in for a shock. The speed of the internet offered by MTNL is incredible (ofcourse, keeping in mind Indian standards). The download speeds most of the time are about 3 Kbps at the lowest and 5 Kbps maximum. Price wise the MTNL connection cost much less than the others since it comes to just Rs.6 an hour while others cost Rs.7 - Rs.10. Also, they offer a reduced pulse rate of the phone at night between 10:30 and 6, which no other ISP can offer. So MTNL turns out to be a whole lot cheaper than other ISPs as well as quite good. You almost always get connected at the frst attempt. The connection is quite stable and there are rarely any disconnections. The billing appears conviniently in your phone bill. They also offer a toll free help line number where the people are quite efficient quite unlike other ventures of MTNL. Overall, this service is very nice and 100% reccommended by me!
