U can make a difference!!. Review on Mouthshut

Having had my experience here at mouthshut, though I would say not much compared to some regulars like jimmy, jilmil, hetul and others whose names I dont recall right now, I thought why not chip in with a brief summary of wot I feel abt mouthshut.

Well mouthshut is indeed a great platform for people from all walks of life to share and express their opinions about things as diverse as from a facial cream to politics and media. It has some quality writers in .. I wont be specific but there are many. It has its share of limelight hoggers and some very nice cute people who say wot they feel and believe me language should not be a barrier. Thoughts should matter. It is no doubt a copy of epinions.com but wot makes it different is the indian context. It has a nice bunch of people working on it and maintaining it. It has attracted people form diverse regions and even countries, which is kinda cool!! It has nice simple appearance and depth.

But hold it, its not all goody goody ......... well first of all there seems to be some problem with the mindset of people out here. I have seen people always write that ''the ceo himself answers your questions wot else do u want'' . Well to those people, even a small company has a CEO and if doesnt work then who will. Faisal and mouthshut are both kids and Faisal is not Sanjeev Siddhu (I-2 technologies) or Gururaj Deshpande (Sycamore Networks) that he doesnt have time for doing this. Look at it this way, he has to do it, he has to build a reputation first. Come on , u all know that I dun have to tell you so cut that crap out. As for mouthshut, it sometimes gets down during late nights and the funda of it logging you out if inactive for some time it really painful. I cant blame mouthshut for people who write for fame and controversy sake but its upto we as the members to differentiate good from bad and rate the reviews accordingly. If u dun feel good abt anything then say not recommended or dun rate it.

Some points I would love to suggest to mouthshut are :

1.They should have a common platform for members to interact with each other , how abt a chat channel!!

2.Put some where on the page the criteria for being a star writer and everything else. Be more transparent, otherwise there is always chance of being blamed and may be deservedly so sometimes!!

3.there should be some code of conduct as to not call each others name , even if u fight!!and no personal grudges to be reflected. That doesnt mean that you can write wotever u like but that should make sense too!

4.Add a rating called ''Can't say''.

But come wot may be the demerits the site has much more in merits to deserve an applause .. cheers!!
