The minute you wake up on your wedding morning, smile and tell yourself to relax, and be calm no matter what happens. Tell yourself this is your special day, and no one can ruin it for you. You are sole mistress and woman whom all eyes will look upto. Be confident of your beauty and aura, and then get out of bed.

1.Look at yourself in the mirror. Try and think of how you feel. Touch your face, be positive that the day will unfold in a magical way, just like you want it to.

  1. Before greeting the family members outside, sit down for a few minutes on your bed, or go outside to the balcony or the open terrace, and relate with nature for at least 10 minutes. Let the morning breeze talk to you; keep your mind blank don't allow any thoughts to cross it. Watch the sun rise if you can. It's a magical moment, and a promise of a new day.

  2. Go outside and greet the family. Stay longer in your mum's arms as she hugs you fondly, sit with your dad with a cup of coffee and talk to him. Spend some time with your siblings, and even your maid. Spreading goodwill makes sure that goodwill comes your way.

  3. plan and prepare for your big day. put out your shimmering ensemble, check your shoes/sandals, bring out your jewelry, and get your makeup kit ready. If you have someone coming over to do it at home, great, just lay everything out on the bed , close your bedroom door, and savor the moment.

  4. take your bath and this time, do it leisurely. Dream for a few minutes longer in the tub or stand under the hot shower for a few minutes longer, with your eyes closed. A warm bath can be rejuvenating and calming, say experts. Towel dry, moisturize and begin getting ready.

6.Pack your own handbag with the essential you may need. Don't delegate this part of the job to anyone, Only you know what you may need, either to dab your nose, or a handkerchief to store your favourite memento left behind by your grandmother, anything that will keep you psychologically and mentally comfortable.

  1. Get set to take those first few steps to the marriage pandal. feel good. Send out a prayer that everything should go well.

8.Smile at everyone you see, you may not have the time to talk to them, wave at them, and get ready for the rituals. Make a few mental notes on the different faces that are around you. See where your elders are, and whether your parents are comfortable. If you spot either of them with a frown, look towards them, and smile. It will be comforting for both of you.

  1. Try and have a close friend or a cousin around you at all times, It not only helps during the ceremony, but even after, when you need a friendly face to smile to. You can even get her to tag along when you go to your inlaws place for the first time, to change into a new sari, as part of the ceremonies. 10. Be calm when you're asked to follow people around, bend your head, and touch feet. Smile at the camera, and when the ceremony is over, you can relax, chat with your newly wed husband, and feel happy.
