Defence Ministry is pathetic.. Review on Ministry Of Defence

The defence ministry is so scared of what the West thinks of them, and not as to what is safe for Indians. They are simply an enormous drain on the resources of the tax payers hard earned money. Take the recent case of truck loads of food, clothing, medicines etc. worth well over a million rupees to Afghanistan. Dont we have millions of Indians begging for food. Then why do all these stunts to look good in the western press.

Ideally I would have given a * rating. But I have given ** stars because I do admire the Jawans and Officers for putting their lives down. Ok I'll admit the perks they get for serving in the military is the real motivation, rather than a real sense of patriotism, but still it is a tough job indeed. I think a a lot has to do with the training methods. British training methods are still in vogue in the military.

We need to replace that. Only then will the Military guys get a real sense of patriotism and really give up their lives(if not their lives atleast their careers) for the sak of the country.
