I recently booked a taxi to airport using online booking and the distance from my house to airport was 25 kms. After getting down at the airport the driver told me to pay 650 Rs though the meter cost was only 485 Rs.
When asked the reason they told me that I had booked online and hence they had applied the offer of 650 Rs to airport. When I took up this matter with the customer care they mentioned that online booking had this offer. I told that I would not want to avail this offer as this does not benefit me or any person who is traveling the same distance as me.
They told me that they cant do anything with that. In the meanwhile the driver had take 650 Rs and left as he could not wait more that 3 min in the airport after drop. I continued my argument with the customer care and then they agreed and told the driver will come back and pay me the balance.
BUT NEITHER THE DRIVER NOR THE CUSTOMER CARE CAME BACK TO ME AFTER THAT. SO PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN YOU BOOK MEGA CABS ONLINE. EVEN IF YOU TRAVEL 10KMS THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 650 RS.
