I came to US 2 months back. My biggest mistake was to take a Matrix sim card from Dehi Airport. I just wanted to use it for one week and their executive had told me that it wont cost more than$15 and some minor service charge. No more than Rs. 1500 in all.


I was sent a bill of Rs. 13, 956 for 2 weeks of usage. They claim that I have used DATA Services worth 13, 000. They charged me for GPRS service which I never used. The bill was like 4kb or 2kb for Rs. 185/unit.


THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION FOR FULL RS. 13000


After repeated mails, they gave me a discount and told me that I have to still pay Rs.7, 000.


I raised the issue with their Customer Operations Head - Vikas Gupta - No use


Then I wrote to their CEO Arun Batra - he is a stubborn guy who does not care for his customers. It was like banging my head against the wall.


I am going to take up this matter legally and fight this matter.


They are fleecing customers and should be punished.

I WOULD LIKE TO PROTECT OTHER CUSTOMERS FROM FALLING INTO THIS TRAP OF MATRIX. PLS SEND THE DOCUMENT TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF MATRIX AS AN OPTION.


IMPORTANT UPDATE - 17-NOV-2011


I just want to share with all other readers that I was able to get a refund of Rs. 13, 956 on my credit card today. After Matrix had charged this amount, I had contacted them to refund the same. However, as you can see in the original review, none of these guys were bothered to help.


Hence, I disputed the charge with my credit card bank mentioning that Matrix had taken an authorisation of only Rs. 5000 and they have charged for Rs. 13, 956. I sent the scanned copy of the charge slip and the print out of the 30 page document(https://dl.dropbox.com/u/36008383/Matrix.docx) also which had several customer complaints against matrix and their habit of overcharging.


It took the bank over two months but the dispute has been resolved in my favour. I got my money back.


In case you can, please do dispute the fraudulent charges with your credit card bank and follow the above procedure.


I wanted to teach a lesson to these cheats and thats what I have done.
