I took a matrix sim card for my 60 days USA trip and received a bill of Rs. 38, 000 for this period. Also, they took Rs. 6000 before giving the sim card as a security deposit. The fraud company levied late payment charges even before my 60 day plan ended. They forwarded me an extensive bill which shows INCOMING calls from MY OWN USA number which is not possible. When I asked their customer care staff regarding this, they replied that sometimes they were not able to trace the numbers from which I received calls so they replaced those numbers with my number in the bill. Their plan sucks big time!.Buy a sim card when you reach USA but NEVER buy a matrix sim card.
I did not get the facility of even free local texting or internet with my plan. After returning to India, the MATRIX staff told me that if for Example, the duration of a call is 1 minute 30 seconds, it will be considered as 2 minutes. In short, the call durations were rounded off to the next number. Once your free minutes of local calls are over, the extremely expensive call rates are applied.
