I really had a hard time cancelling my booking of Dzire ZDi after waiting for 4 weeks as the dealer(Spectra Motors, Goregaon) was not committing any delivery date. Even after giving them a formal cancellation letter, they kept giving me stories about their Director not being in office or traveling for wedding etc for days. This was till I literally had to stage a DHARNA at their showroom after which within half an hour, the Director's flight landed in Mumbai and he was located at Malad workshop.
If I had believed them, According to them, I would have been waiting for months since they claimed to have no news from Maruti. But they are still taking bookings and promising delivery within a month to all unsuspecting customers and collecting huge deposits.
Book this car now only if you are willing to block your money for 6 months and wait that long for the delivery. By that time, Fiat Linea and maybe some other new cars will be on roads and you might be repenting why you waited so long for Dzire delivery and also lost interest on your booking amount as Linea is much better in both looks and features. The car and will most probably come with the same engine.
Anyway, I am much happier now as I have booked the new Safari 2.2 VTT which will be delivered next week. Its an awesome car and almost the same price as Dzire ZDi but in terms of driving and owning experience, this is class apart.
