Maruti esteem is the ultimate car in economy and luxury range cars. It is not too much expensive but good for drive.
I got the car about 4 years back in 1998. While choosing options between NE118, Fiat, Maruti 800 and other cars available that time I found Esteem is the best buy.
It is spacious and very good for driving comforts. All controls are easy including gear shift. A family car with good size boot which can accomodate easily two suitcases. The best seat is drivers seat and second best is the one next to driver. One of the good car after 800 for self driving.
The only disadvantage is that the car is low and in the night truck head lights come on eyes. Suspension , pick up, average for self driven is excellent. This is best family car for family of 4 or even 5 and that for long drive also. I have driven this car for more than 65,000 km without any troubles and I will not hesitate to recommend it to one looking for moderate budget, comfortable family car.
