Unreliable device, poor maps and many more... Review on Mapmyindia

I purchased ICE NAV device priced at 32k from map my India. There are very few times I have felt good about it. Most of it were bitter experiences. I have been disappointed by it since the installation of the device to my car. The model suggested by map my India co.

For my car did not fit properly. Had a tough time doing the circus. The maps are very very primitive. Could be just 25% of Google maps. The device is made in Taiwan(Republic of China) which crashed many times and ultimately dead. When I asked for the repair under warranty, they said that they need to send it to Taiwan for all the repairs and it may take many days to months. After waiting for a long time, I was told that the spares were not available to repair the device.

The list of disappointments because of purchasing this device goes on. Finally after months of negotiations, discussions and traveling to map my India office, I got 60% of the price I paid as refund.

Now, I'm using Pioneer AVH XT2690BT device paying half the price of map my India device which is JUST MARVELLOUS and working smooth. This Pioneer has lot many features than map my India and the performance, operations is simply superb! For maps I use my smart phone with Google maps. Working great for me!
