I recently visited this hospital at old airport road, Bengaluru due a skin condition. I installed their Manipal app from play store and registered myself and right away booked an appointment with a dermatologist. The next day I visited the hospital and at their enquiry desk they asked Me to register. I TOLD them that I have already registered in your app, isn't you should consider that registration. They denied and told me that it's mandatory. Then I registered by paying Rs.150 and also the doctors consultation charges of the doctor.
Then I met the doctor and after looking at my condition and symptoms, he concluded that I'm suffering from a condition know as scabies.
He asked me to do the following test :
1) IGE TEST ( Rs880)
2) CBC test ( Rs450)
3) Absolute eosinophil count test( Rs140)
4) ESR( Rs 180)
5) peripheral smear examination ( Rs 220)
6) urine routine microscopy ( Rs 270)
After the test result all were normal except one test and that was IGE test which tells whether the allergic reactions in the body is more than its limit or not. But it do not tell you, about which allergy your body is under going, and for my body it was found out to be more than the limit. Then the doctor asked me to do a skin patch test ( INDIAN STANDARD SERIES) WHICH COST ME AMOUNT OF Rs 4500 and took 2 days to get result. When the results were out the allergic reaction was found out to be normal allergies like parabens, tiger balm, some emulsion detergents etc. This were not at all concern. Now after this much of expenditure I found out that when some allergic symptom a body is undergoing, your body defence cells that is our WBC in blood reacts to that symptom which leads to more WBC cells production in counter defending the body due to the allergens, and it's natural and obviously will lead to show a higher value in IGE test.
Now how cunning these doctors are, which made me to do a test which wasn't necessary, and for this symptom I made an expenditure unbearable. I felt like harrassed. I will never recommend this hospital even though it's a name fame standard comes among reputed hospitals of India where doctors are corrupted by there own nature.
