Malena is a beautiful piece of art...
It reflects a strong understanding of teenage thought processes on part of the film maker... and also how the mental constructs of the society operate....
The biggest reason why everybody will like it, is that everybody has had a crush on someone at some point of time ..well almost!!...
The kind of beautiful and elegant crush that has been shown in this movie is what teen dreams are made of...
Having said that, the best part of Malena is that its not a teen movie.. its a class apart... the kind of poise that Monica lends to the movie is unparalleled...
Human thoughts and emotions have been elegantly captured by the camera without saying too many words... the protagonist, apparently, has spoken the least in the entire movie...
The movie binds u.. and makes you expect... more often than not u find urself in the shoes of the young boy with a crush...
Inspite of the movie bending towards a serious treatment ...at the end of the day its a feel good movie
