Most flat-bed scanners arrive with a shipping lock. Take care when you unpack the product and before you power-on the scanner THE SHIPPING LOCK MUST BE DISABLED or your scanner will soon bite dust with words from your friendly neighbourhood dealer - WARRANTY VOID IF INSTRUCTIONS NOT WELL READ. So don't miss ANY print( Fine or otherwise . Also if you are moving the scanner to someplace else - reverse the process - lock the scanner and unlock when placed. For best results use a good graphic program and see terrific results of your scanned pictures. Use soft moist cloth regularly to clean the scanner glass.
